All citizens are provided with garbage and landfill services through Waste Managment. .

Garbage and Landfill Rates
Rates Effective 2023

Rates depend on the level of service selected (Bag System, 32 Gallon, 64 Gallon, or 96 Gallon Cart) and is non-negotiable. The only exception to this fee is business owners who provide their own dumpster or vacant residence or rental properties. 

• Bag System - $10.00 plus $1.35 a bag plus tax (Yellow bags are available for purchase at Casey's)
• 32 Gallon Cart - $13.35
• 64 Gallon Cart - $15.35
• 96 Gallon Cart - $17.35

With these garbage systems you can simply take the bags used in your trash container and place them in the cart. Special bags DO NOT need to be purchased, unless you are on the bag system. If your garbage does not fit in the cart an extra bag will be needed and can be purchased at Casey's for $1.35.

Curbside Pickup of Garbage
Garbage will be picked up Friday of each week, unless a holiday is observed during the week. Please have garbage and recyclables at the curb by 6:00 am.

Landfill Flat Rate - $2.00
This is a flat rate attached to every bill and is non-negotiable. The only exceptions to this fee are business owner's who provide their own dumpster or vacant residences or rental properties. 

Yard Waste Pickup
Pickup of yard waste will be an additional charge of $8.00 year round but only serviced in the months of May, June, July, September, October, and November. All yard waste must be placed in Waste Management 96 Gallon tote. Please stop by City Hall to set up this service. 

Instructions for Handling Recyclable Materials

Curbside Pickup of Recyclable Items: Pickup will be Friday of every other week, unless a holiday is observed during the week.
Recyclable Items: Glass, plastic, metal, and tin cans should be clean and lids, caps, pumps, handles, no sorting necessary.
