Open Burning Policy

PLEASE TAKE CONDITIONS INTO CONSIDERATION BEFORE LIGHTING ANY FIRES.
All burning must be in compliance with the Nora Springs City Code Chapter 105.05, specifically subsections 4 & 5.
4) Landscape Waste. The disposal by open burning of landscape waste originating on the premises, provided that a permit is obtained from the City. Rubber tires shall not be used to ignite landscape waste.
5) Recreational Fires. Open fires for cooking, heating, recreation, and ceremonies, provided that a permit is obtained from the City and that such fires comply with the limits for emission of visible air containment's established by that State Dept. of Natural Resources.
